This Privacy Policy explains how ALGORICK TECHNOLOGIES PRIVATE LIMITED (“ALGORICK”, “we”, “us” or “our”) collects, uses, shares and protects your personal data when you use algorick.com and our applications (the “Platform”). It is prepared in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”), the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under them.
1. Who we are
ALGORICK TECHNOLOGIES PRIVATE LIMITED is the Data Fiduciary responsible for your personal data. Our office is at Paralakhemundi, Odisha 761200, India.
2. Scope
This policy applies to visitors of our website, registered users, subscribers and anyone who contacts us. It does not cover the practices of your Broker or other third-party websites linked from the Platform, which have their own privacy policies.
3. Personal data we collect
Information you give us
- Name, email address, mobile number and password when you register.
- Billing name, address and GSTIN if you request a GST invoice.
- Messages, feedback and any details you share when you contact support.
Information from your Broker
- When you connect a Broker, we receive your Broker client ID and access tokens through the Broker’s official API.
- Orders, trades, positions, holdings and available margin, as needed to run and display your Strategies.
Information collected automatically
- IP address, device type, operating system, browser and app version.
- Pages viewed, features used, time spent and referring links.
- Log data, error reports and cookies or similar technologies.
Information we do not collect
- We never ask for or store your Broker login password, bank account passwords, UPI PIN or full card details. Payments are processed by our payment gateway partner.
4. How we use your data
- To create and manage your account and verify your identity.
- To connect to your Broker and place, modify or cancel orders according to your instructions.
- To provide backtests, analytics, alerts and reports.
- To process payments, issue invoices and manage Subscriptions.
- To provide customer support and respond to your requests.
- To send service messages such as login alerts, order updates and policy changes.
- To send product updates and offers, where you have agreed to receive them.
- To monitor, secure and improve the Platform, and to prevent fraud and misuse.
- To comply with legal obligations and requests from regulators, exchanges, Brokers or law enforcement.
5. Legal basis for processing
We process your personal data on the basis of your consent, which you give when you register or use specific features, and for legitimate uses permitted under the DPDP Act, such as providing a service you have requested, complying with law and responding to legal requests. You may withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out, but some features may stop working.
6. Cookies and analytics
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and secure your session, and analytics cookies (such as Google Analytics) to understand how the Platform is used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but some parts of the Platform may not work properly without them.
7. Sharing your data
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only as needed with:
- Your Broker, to place and manage orders on your instruction.
- Payment gateways, to process payments and refunds.
- Cloud hosting and infrastructure providers, to run the Platform.
- Analytics, email and SMS providers, to measure usage and send messages.
- Regulators, exchanges, courts and law enforcement, where required by law.
- A successor entity, in case of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
All service providers are bound by contracts requiring them to protect your data and use it only for the services they provide to us.
8. Where your data is stored
Your data is stored on secure servers, primarily in India. If any data is transferred outside India, we will do so only as permitted under the DPDP Act and any restrictions notified by the Government of India.
9. How we protect your data
- All data is encrypted in transit using TLS.
- Broker access tokens and API keys are encrypted at rest.
- Access to personal data is limited to authorised staff on a need-to-know basis.
- We monitor our systems, apply security updates and conduct regular reviews.
- In the event of a personal data breach, we will inform the Data Protection Board of India and affected users as required by law.
No system is completely secure. Please keep your password and devices safe and log out on shared devices.
10. How long we keep your data
- Account data is kept while your account is active.
- After you close your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data within 90 days, unless we need to keep it longer by law.
- Invoices and payment records are kept for at least 8 years as required under tax and company laws.
- Order and audit logs are kept for the period required by SEBI, the exchanges or your Broker.
11. Your rights
Under the DPDP Act, you have the right to:
- access a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how it is processed;
- correct, complete or update inaccurate or incomplete data;
- request erasure of data that is no longer needed, subject to legal retention requirements;
- withdraw consent for processing based on consent;
- nominate another person to exercise your rights in case of death or incapacity; and
- raise a grievance with us and, if unresolved, with the Data Protection Board of India.

12. Marketing communications
You can stop receiving promotional emails by clicking “unsubscribe” in any email, and stop promotional SMS or WhatsApp messages by replying STOP or writing to us. Service and transactional messages related to your account will continue while your account is active.
13. Children
The Platform is not meant for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has given us personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
14. Grievance redressal
In line with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under it, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can raise any complaint or concern with our Grievance Officer:
We will acknowledge your complaint within 24 hours and aim to resolve it within 15 days of receipt.
15. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page with a new “Last updated” date and notify you of material changes by email or in the Platform.
